Currently, the NH Seacoast Pagans gatherings are being held at Karnan House, behind the Unitarian Church (South Church) in Portsmouth, NH. The actual address is 206 Court Street.
If you can find your way to the rotary off route 16, the map above should take you right to our front door. The route is a little convoluted, since Portsmouth, in typical New England fashion, appears to have been designed by an ancient, mysterious race of people who could only move in one direction at a time. |
Take Route 1A Bypass from the rotary and go under the first overpass. The next offramp will take you up to Maplewood Ave.
Follow Maplewood until you get to the main Intersection in town, which looks something like the picture on the right. Turning left would take you to downtown, except for the fact that you are not allowed to turn left, as our anscestors couldn't imagine why anyone would actually want to go downtown. |
Instead, go straight through the Intersection (the town library will be on your right) and turn left at the next intersection, pictured on the left.
This takes you onto State Street. |
Follow State Street for a few blocks, until you see a large gray church on your right, looking like something out of The Omen.
This is the Unitarian Church, otherwise known as South Church, because it is south of North Church (so named because it is north of South Church). |
Turn right on the side street just before the church. You'll see a parking lot on your right, which is not in the picture because it's, well...a parking lot. It's legal to park there on Saturday, after 1pm.
Straight ahead is the firestation, on Court Street. |
To the left of the firestation is some kind of automotive repair shop.
I don't have much to add about it - I'm sure it's a very nice automotive repair shop. |

To the left of the automotive shop, is Karnan House. We're inside the Red Door, usually on the first floor.
There's always a sign posted on the door during gatherings, and the shreiking coming from inside is generally laughter - not tormented souls - so come on in! |
